Marco Rovinelli began to play drums in 1991. After moving to Rome in 2001, he has played live and in the studio with several singers and songwriters, like Massimo Ranieri, Michele Zarrillo, Samuele Bersani, Max Gazzè, Zero Assoluto, Paola Turci, Amedeo Minghi, Marina Rei, Riccardo Sinigallia, Pacifico, Simone Cristicchi…

As an orchestra member he has played in several events, with Josè Carreras, Andrea Bocelli, Cynthia Lawrence, Andrea Griminelli, Russell Watson, Alessandro Safina, Tony Hadley, Jarabe De Palo, Gary Go, Eddy Floyd, Marco Mengoni, Malika Ayane, Caparezza, Carmen Consoli, Noemi, Dolcenera, Tosca…

In the field of Jazz he has collaborate with Dick Halligan, Francesco Bruno, Gianni Savelli “Mediares”, Sergio Coppotelli, Massimo Nunzi Jazz Orchestra, Gerardo Di Lella Big Band, Orchestra Nazionale Italiana del Jazz, playing also with Enrico Pieranunzi, Danilo Rea, Rita Marcotulli, Arturo Sandoval, Diane Schuur, Bob Mintzer, Roy Hargrove, Antonello Salis, Paolo Damiani, Vince Benedetti, Franco Ambrosetti, Fabrizio Bosso, Rosario Giuliani, Max Ionata, Eddy Palermo, Javier Girotto, Maurizio Gianmarco…

With Bruno Marinucci and Pierpaolo Ranieri he has formed Butterfly, a trio which released its first album “Vertigo Treatment” with Alfa Music in 2016.

He’s very active as a studio musicai, and has participted in several albums with guests like  Skin, Eumir Deodato, Bill Evans, Randy Brecker, Jimmy Haslip, Jeff Loerber, Matt Bianco, Lucio Dalla, Gianna Nannini, Malika Ayane, Jovanotti, Giuliano Sangiorgi, Giusi Ferreri, Peppe Servillo, Tom Gaebel, Simona Bencini, Andrea Morricone…

He has taken part in TV shows, theatre recital and several soundtracks for film, theatre, advertisement and TV fiction (in collaboration with M°Paolo Buonvino, M° Andrea Guerra, M°Stefano Lentini, Orchestra “Roma Sinfonietta”, Orchestra Italiana del Cinema, Deproducers…)

His collaboration with Deproducers began in 2013 as a substitute of drummer Dodo Nkishi in the project “Planetario”.
